A butter knife? That is a tip about Epoxy that I saw over at Groov-E-News this week. The post explains how epoxy has to be applied at nearly a specific thickness. But, how can we ‘mic’ a spread out layer that is sticky?
Using the thickness of a blade on the knife you use to butter your bread as a gauge, you have a better chance of getting the right amount of inside epoxy for your decorative concrete job.
Too little epoxy can lead to flaws in the surface while too much is simply too expensive. It is not difficult to remember this simple gauge; even if you don’t carry a butter knife with you, you have a pretty close mental measurment that can be useful.
